About This Place

Fridays Seafood and More LLC, nestled at 1308 New Dallas Hwy in Waco, TX, is a standout destination for lovers of authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Proudly serving a vibrant menu that marries the bold flavors of the Bayou with the comforting familiarity of Southern cooking, this locally owned gem offers an inviting dining experience that feels both genuine and unpretentious.

Stepping inside, guests are greeted by the warm, friendly atmosphere punctuated by soulful Creole music that effortlessly transports you to New Orleans. It’s the perfect backdrop to a meal that delights the senses without overwhelming the palate with excessive spice — a signature of their approach to Cajun flavor that lingers pleasantly, leaving you craving more.

The menu is a treasure trove of fresh, expertly prepared dishes showcasing the bounties of the Gulf Coast. The Fish with 6 Piece Shrimp Combo and the Crawfish Plate are perennial favorites, delivering perfectly fried and succulent seafood that tastes as if it’s just been pulled from the water. For those who prefer rich, hearty preparations, the Crawfish Etouffee and Seafood Gumbo offer deeply seasoned, slow-simmered comfort food that nourishes both body and soul.

Adventurous eaters will appreciate the Bayou Platter with the daring addition of frog legs, while the Boudin Balls and Gator Bites showcase lesser-known Cajun delicacies with bold, satisfying flavor and perfect crispiness. The menu thoughtfully caters to all ages, featuring a well-priced kids’ menu that includes classic choices like hamburgers and chicken tenders served with crisp golden fries.

Fridays Seafood and More LLC doesn’t just deliver on flavor; the quality and freshness are palpable with every bite. Dishes such as the Fried Oysters — described by customers as huge and plump — and the buttery, expertly seasoned crab legs underscore the kitchen’s commitment to excellence. Salads enhanced with tender shrimp, grilled salmon, or crispy chicken tenders provide a lighter yet equally flavorful option.

Customers consistently praise the warm hospitality, highlighting attentive, courteous service that complements the culinary experience perfectly. One enthusiastic diner remarked on the “best etouffee” they’ve ever tasted in 45 years of sampling Southern fare, while another marveled at the moist, perfectly cooked seafood and the friendly, inviting atmosphere. Such reviews reveal how Fridays Seafood and More is not just a meal stop but a genuine slice of Cajun culture in Waco.

Whether you’re indulging in a comforting bowl of Seafood Gumbo, savoring a crunchy Crayfish Po’ Boy, or finishing your meal with a sweet note of peach cobbler, Fridays Seafood and More offers a heartfelt, authentic taste experience that stays with you long after the last bite. This is Cajun cooking done with respect, passion, and a welcoming smile — a true hidden culinary treasure of Central Texas.

Fabulous food and the staff is friendly and attentive. Wonderful atmosphere with creole music playing. It's Cajun flavor but not hot and spicy. Flavor that leaves your mouth happy and wanting more. Desserts looked tasty but we were too full to try them. Locally owned by a vet and his beautiful wife. Will definitely be back!

Best hospitality hands down, service is helpful and courteous. Food is delicious good flavor moist. Not over cooked. Not excessively oily. Catfish was on point, fried oysters are huge and plump, shrimp are big, crab cake good flavor, gar steak is very flavorful. Crawfish Etouffee was very good. Thank you for the sample! Most definitely a hidden gem in Waco don't let the outside fool you! Go in and try their food! Will definitely be returning. Music is good too!

I thought I had already found the best Cajun spot in Waco with Cajun Craft, but Friday’s Cajun Kitchen might be just as good, maybe even a little better. Cajun Craft is plated up fancy and feels more upscale with the price to match, but here all you need is a styrofoam plate. That tells you everything: it is about the food, plain and simple. I ordered the shrimp plate with twelve jumbo shrimp, and they were fat, juicy, spicy, and cooked perfectly. Easily some of the best shrimp I have had in Waco. The homemade tartar and red sauces for dipping were delicious as well. For sides, I went with the étouffée and the red beans and rice, and both were fantastic: rich, flavorful, and comforting. A few splashes of Louisiana hot sauce over the top sealed the deal. The service was great. Everyone was super nice, laid back, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It honestly reminded me of the Cajun food I have had in Louisiana, which says something. This place is legit Cajun comfort food, and I will definitely be back.

Huge selection of dinners. Honestly the BEST etouffee that I've ever had in my life and I've eaten it all over the South for the last 45 years. Perfect seasonings and great people make it truly a favorite place! We will be back every time we are in town.

The best REAL Cajun food you can get in the area!! It’s family owned and the food is the absolute best! The flavors are real authentic Cajun. We ordered crawfish in JANUARY and they were small obviously but oh soooo good! We also had catfish which I didn’t get a picture of and it was so good crispy and fresh there cocktail sauce was we ordered dessert to go and you can see the serving HUGE serving size. If you like Cajun and haven’t been here you are missing out!! This place is worth the drive from miles away!! Not to mention how hospitable and kind the workers/owners are please stop by and put them on the map!!! P.s. they gave us a sample of the Étouffée and that alone will have us running back best I have ever had and I have tasted a lot even from Louisiana and this is THE BEST!!
